THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN FREMONT, MICHIGAN
POSITION SUMMARY:Respond to incoming written customer communication, process policy changes and respond to messages taken by the Contact Center. Communications and responses are made by letter, e-mail, and telephone.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary responsibilities are to respond in a professional manner and process with accuracy policy changes sent to Policy Admin from incoming correspondence received via Contact Center, USPS mail, social service and housing organizations, external agents, insurance departments and attorneys. Performance is measured with an expected production and quality average. Correspondence representatives are expected to process completely and accurately multiple categories on a daily basis. Contacts are frequent with individuals representing other department and/or representing outside organizations. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data on matters of moderate importance to the function of the department or which may be of sensitive nature. Exercises judgment and sound decision making to determine best course of action to meet or exceed customer needs within relevant guidelines and regulations.
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
High School diploma
EXPERIENCE:
2 plus years relevant experience writing letters, emails or web chats
2 plus years experience with Gerber Life products and procedures
SKILLS:
Solid verbal and written communication skills
Quality and Customer Service advocate
Strong PC skills
Ability to multi-task and work multiple categories in same day
Solid judgment, problem solving, decision-making and follow-through skills
Solid knowledge of basic business processes, workflow and systems

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
