Our Nestle R&D facility is charged with driving innovation and global mastership in the baby food category to meet the unique nutritional and developmental needs of infants and toddlers.
We are currently recruiting for a Controls and Automation Engineer at our Fremont, Michigan location.
Position Summary
The successful candidate will deliver controls and automation professional and technical support to capital expenditure projects and operations both in factories and the R&D pilot plant. Drive safety and continuous improvements in controls and automation systems, electrical equipment and manufacturing processes by creating, modifying, and maintaining process configurations and controls, Human-Machine Interfaces ("HMIs"), and the Manufacturing Execution System functions. Validate the improvements by developing and executing detailed and effective protocols in adherence to Nestle and regulatory specifications.
This position is responsible for developing new automation tools for use in Nestl? Nutrition Meals and Drinks factories. Drive the testing and troubleshooting of the tools to validate them for implementation via the Nestle Engineering Automation Toolbox for use in all Nestl? facilities. Ensure compliance in our Factory Automation System ("FAS") by working with IT support to implement patches and hot fixes on HMI computers and servers in the FAS environment. Administer the automation development tools.
The position will also manage R&D projects and contractors who supply automation and electrical system integration, design services, equipment installation, operation personnel training, and protocol development. Manage supplier qualification and selection, RFP process, and factory and site acceptance activities.

Education and Requirements
Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Engineering (Electrical, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred)
Industrial control systems
Industrial networking
Electrical systems and safety
Food processing technology
Continuous improvement methodologies
Candidate should have 5-10 years of applicable industrial experience in factory engineering, capital projects, troubleshooting, and operations support.
In depth knowledge of industrial control systems, specifically Allen-Bradley PLCs and Wonderware HMIs
Demonstrated ability to implement original solutions through PLC/HMI programming
Ability to install, administer and support automation development tools
Experience with engineering qualification processes, documentation, and execution
Knowledge of Windows-based Server Environments
Demonstrated ability to deliver results through others
Experience with technical drawings and manuals
Excellent communication skills, especially the ability to present specialized technical information to a broader audience such as Quality, Operations, and Innovation/Renovation
Proficient in the use of common software platforms including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
