Our Nestle R&D facility is charged with driving innovation and global mastership in the baby food category to meet the unique nutritional and developmental needs of infants and toddlers.
We are currently recruiting for a R&D Project Manager, Up-Age at our Fremont, Michigan location.
Main Purpose of Job:
Manage medium size R&D project(s) with a high impact on the business. Manage the project on the R&D/development side in alignment with Nestl? Continuous Excellence (NCE) and Nestl? Health and Wellness (NHW) initiatives. Interact proactively with the other functions, especially the business lead and operations to ensure the overall project objectives.
Responsibilities:
PROJECT MANAGEMENT: during the whole project life according to the NPDI process:
Deliver product(s)/process(es)/system(s)/solution(s) with defined quality at defined time and cost (when applicable)
Contribute to the future commercial success of the business by considering the whole picture of the project, and by considering NHW and CSV strategies
Effectively control scope changes through proactive and open communication with stakeholders
PEOPLE AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT:
Ensure adequate resources and competence levels, manage the resources (including budget) allocated to the project
COACHING AND SHARING:
Facilitate and coach within the project team and enhance the interaction and collaboration between the various specialists, within the NPTC and across R&D Units, Technical and Business Units and with external partners
Contribute to training in project management
NETWORKING:
Create synergies through effective networking with all relevant R&D Units, business partners, markets, SBUs, Head Office, external partners (via Open Innovation)
STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT:
Manage among stakeholders, provide recommendations for decision making with Nestl? decision makers and business partners internally and externally

Qualifications
University graduate or equivalent
Has a minimum of 5 years of experience in R&D, out of which minimum 1 year in Operation and/or Corporate Functions (Could be mission or assignment)
Has a minimum 3 years project management experience
Has successfully shown leadership skills within a cross-functional team
Has worked a matrix like structure in an functionally structured environment
Has demonstrated the courage and ability to solve problems
Has proven communication skills (Presents confidently and convincingly to steering committees
Has experience in NPDI process
Has experience in the briefing process.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
